Church Planting & Discipleship Ministry
Pathway to Joy began their church planting and discipleship efforts in the Roma (gypsy) villages of Tinca and Sabolciu over twenty years ago. As a result, hundreds of families have been transformed by the power of the Gospel and empowered to build resourceful and Christ-centered lives. The Gospel message is on the move and the journey continues. The church plants in Tinca and Sabolciu have moved forward to planting other churches in other unreached villages such as Tasad, Cheriu, Osorhei and Calacea.
Today, 23 Roma church plants now exist in our region that are being equipped and empowered for local mission. The needs of these local churches vary as much as the communities themselves. Please pray for your involvement in this ministry both financially and through prayer. These national pastors and leaders are in need of ongoing support, encouragement, mentoring, and Christ-centered discipleship resources.
Feeding Programs
Many gypsy families are large, and they live in extreme poverty. Lack of transportation and illiteracy contribute to high unemployment rates in these villages. On a monthly basis, we deliver food packages, school supplies, and clothing to these families for their children. Our goal is to help the children remain in school with the hope that they will one day be able to escape this cycle of poverty.
